anzbargains.com is a community-run deals site for shoppers in Australia and New Zealand. Members post bargains they have found, everyone votes, and the best ones rise to the top.
Why we built this
Australia and New Zealand are among the most expensive places in the developed world to buy almost anything. A television that sells for one price in the US arrives here with a markup nobody quite explains. Groceries, appliances, shoes — the gap is real, and shoppers here have learned to wait for sales rather than pay list price.
The tools for finding those sales are worse than they should be. Australia has one dominant deals community, built fifteen years ago and looking it, especially on a phone. New Zealand has almost nothing — Kiwi shoppers either scroll through Australian deals that don’t ship, or miss the discount entirely.
That’s the gap we’re trying to fill. One site, both countries, prices in the right currency, and a design that works on the phone you’re actually holding in the shop. Deals come from members who found them, not from a feed of whatever pays the highest commission.
We’re small and new. What we can promise is that every deal here was posted by someone who thought it was worth sharing, checked by a human before it went live, and ranked by whether people found it useful — not by what earns us the most.
How deals get here
- Members post them. Anyone with an account can submit a deal they have found.
- We review them. Every submission is checked before it goes live. Referral-only links and misleading discounts get removed.
- The community votes. Deals that people find genuinely useful rise; ones that do not, sink.
- Expired deals stay visible. We mark them rather than deleting them, so you can see price history.
How we make money
